JIMTOF - Japan International Machine Tool Fair

"Interweaving technology, changing manufacturing" is the main theme of JIMTOF 2020. As one of the world’s largest international technology shows, every edition of Jimtof brings together the most cutting-edge technologies and products for global exhibitors and visitors.

Why JIMTOF?

In 2018, JIMTOF total accepted 5,524 booths by 1,085 companies from 21 countries and regions around the world. The number of exhibitors exceeded 1,000 for the first time. The fair was visited by (excluding repeat visitors) 153,103 people (including 12,934 visitors from overseas), with both figures far exceeding the number of visitors to the previous fair, and setting a new record since adopting the admission registration system.

In addition to the comprehensive exhibits on display at the venue, the organizers arranged to connect 292 machines of 72 companies and special exhibit booth by making use of an IoT platform. This turned the venue into one huge simulated factory allowing visitors to experience what IoT is capable of achieving.

Furthermore, various lectures and seminars were given on issues that have been attracting attention recently, including IoT, AI and EV, and workshops were held to introduce machine tools and the machine tool industry to students.
